(Itīs Good) To Be Free
(Chosen by Oasis fan George Hulan)
Information:
This song was a B- side on
the Whatever single. Itīs also
available on the Masterplan Cd.
Oasis have just played this one on their DM tour.
Noel wrote it on their first American tour. He finished
it in Las Vegas after he had left the band.
The song is recorded in Austin, Texas.
Itīs one of the shorter Oasis songs. The morse cod has no
meaning what so ever.
The producer Owen Morris thought this about the song;
"Cocaine psychosis."
He also thinks the guitar feedback has a Fear and Loathing
vibe.
Itīs Bonehead whoīs foolinī around in the end of the song.
Of course no video has been made.
Hereīs the single version of TBF, listen and enjoy!
The Lyrics:
Head like a rock spinning round and round
I found it in a hole sitting upside down
You point the finger at me but I don't believe
Paint me a wish on a velvet sky
You demand the answers but I don't know why
In my mind
There is no time
But the little things they make me so happy
All I want to do is live by the sea
Little things they make me so happy
But it's good it's good it's good to be free
So what would you say if I said to you
It's not in what you say it's in what you do
You point the finger at me but I don't believe
Bring it on home to where we found
My head like a rock sitting upside down
In my mind there is no time
But the little things they make me so happy
All I want to do is live by the sea
Little things they make me so happy
But it's good it's good it's good to be free
